- Alex Salvi was born in 1991 in a large family of accomplished musicians and lawyers. He was raised in Lake Zurich, Illinois, just outside of Chicago, by his parents Michael J. ‘Mike’ Salvi, (father, a lawyer by profession), and Debra ‘Debbie’ Salvi (mother).
- Alex has a brother, Jonathan Salvi, and a sister, Samantha Salvi.
- He attended Carmel Catholic High School in Mundelein, Illinois, and graduated in 2009.
- Following his graduation from Carmel Catholic High School, Alex attended the DePaul University in Chicago, Illinois. He was there from 2009 to 2013 and achieved a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Political Economy.

- From 2016 to 2017, Alex was also a reporter and producer for Annenberg TV News.
- Since September 2017, Alex has been an anchor and executive producer of the After Hours show on the One America News Network (OANN). After Hours is a broadcast show that airs daily and in which Alex gets to interview politicians and specialists on the day’s most pressing topics.

- Alex is one of the forty grandchildren of the beloved late Marita Salvi, the matriarch of the Salvi clan.
