Heard from several sources that Christian Horner did everything he could not to let me drive. Then I thought: say it to my face. I find it very disappointing.

Max Verstappen claims rivals have made bigger improvements than Red Bull

Red Bull Racing driver, Max Verstappen has opened up, saying that the team has been a bit behind its rivals in terms of improvements this campaign. The Milton-Keynes-based outfit currently leads the championship but has appeared beatable on some occasions this campaign.

On the kerbs and the bumps, there you have already two things that really need to be worked on. The driveability of the car and just the balance as well, but those are things that can't be solved overnight. At the moment, it is clear that others have made bigger steps than us

Despite winning seven out of ten races this season, Red Bull has struggled around circuits that require greater kerb-riding and employ more bumps in the tracks. Max Verstappen has thus, asserted that the issues revolving around kerbs and bumps are a problem that will take more than a few days or weeks to resolve.

Verstappen currently eyes a fourth consecutive championship with Red Bull but is haunted by the challenging pace of McLaren and Ferrari who have been a cognizant force this season. The Dutch driver will look to extend his winning streak as F1 gets underway around the exciting Red Bull Ring for the 11th round of this campaign.
