GARY, IN (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — A utility company is investigating the cause of a power outage that postponed a sold-out dance concert featuring R&B singer Chris Brown and knocked out power in a three block area of Gary, Indiana, last week.

Officials are looking at a nearby train derailment as a possible source for the outage, but the cause is still unclear.

Thousands of music fans were left standing in line outside of the Genesis Convention Center for Dance Down 2007, until they were alerted about the postponement at 7:30pm by promoter Mark Yucan of The Yucan Group.

“This was not only disheartening because of the time and work that went into the event, but also because the kids had their hearts set on it,” Yucan told the Chicago Tribune.

He said a new date for the concert has not been determined. –by CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
